Hello, hello, hello. You stumbled upon the website/blog/portfolio/thing of Ronny Pries. That’s me.
So, the artist in me wants you to come here because of my fame, creations, works and epic epicness. Which might be true for some, but then again there’s a good chance you’ve got no idea about the bloke behind all this mess. To understand what fuzz this is all about, here’s how it came to be…
To make it short, i’m stuck with music since my parents gave me a tape recorder in ’83. Which got worse when i convinced them to gimme an own C64. Apart from trying to get sounds from that 8bit machine i discovered the lovely world of video games. And of course the short, artsy cracking intros in front of those *cough*. The next big stop was Acid-House, then Techno. First 12″ purchased in 1991-92, of course for spinning them. While others bought a synth i was already hooked to trackers so i got myself a sampler for the Amiga 1200. Met a guy with a studio, started producing tracks using “proper” gear.
1995: hello internet, hello tracking groups. Formed a netlabel and became sound designer for a game dev team in town. Through which i stumbled upon Native Instruments, joined some betatests, became more interested in the upcoming VST trend. Made presets for some effects and synths, helped a guy from sweden with his TB-303 plugin. Last not least established that Farbrausch thing with two friends.
Along the road i picked up interest in photography, graphic design & web technologies. Hugs: british humor (thanks dad, showing Monty Pythons “Meaning of life” to your 10 years young boy really left its impression…) cooking, everything artsy, beautiful’n'detailed.
This website/blog/portfolio/thing is all about the stuff i create, like, breathe.
Happy browsing – yours truly
Ronny
