  • 10 years ago Christian Morgenstern released my first solo vinyl EP (after all the Snitzer & Mc Coy stuff on Superstition) on his Forte Records imprint. Haven’t heard it in years. Someone now uploaded the A1 in full length on Youtube. Merci!

  • Ronny Pries - Through the fogPress release:

“Ronny Pries (Forte Records) and Harld Kern (Weltherrschaft.com) understand their Label T- (“T-minus”) as a platform for natively deep techno which reaches the soul of the listener. The labeldebut is following this concept consequentely. With T-001 Ronny Pries impressively presents the spirit and the different track charateristics of the new label.

The A1, “Through the fog“, burns into the listeners memory. Offensive basslines are coming along like an earthquake, nevertheless the listeners still have enough free space to enjoy the music through smart sequenced parts of acid-lines. The listener is almost able to feel the pleasant pressure. The b-side continues seamlessly and shows with “Harvester” through striking hi-hats and vibrating synth-sounds, Techno at its best.

Although with smoother sounds, but by no means less floating the second track of the b-side “Orang Utan” represents itself and the artist Ronny Pries with his wide spectrum of understanding his music. sharp drums and soft spheres combined into a melodic and rhythmical sophisticated track, which is not only ambient.”

  • The final release of Sören and mine sneaky little boston-based fake-project “Snitzer & Mc Coy” for Hamburg’s Superstition Records label. Came with bells’n'whistles and a Pascal F.E.O.S. remix, released in 1999.

Again produced in their Boston based Turntable-Box-studio, this 12-inch bribes with an excellent sound and extraordinary mixing.

As a remixer Superstition could win no one else than Frankfurt based top-DJ and -producer PASCAL F.E.O.S., who puts on B1 his stamp on in an unmistakeable way using his typical hammering bass drum and sharp open Hi Hats.

  • One of the main reasons that the sun still shines down on Hamburg now and then may be Ronny Pries and his music. Ronny founded the netlabel _rohformat almost 8 years ago and spread his vision of good techno music even into the farest regions of the internet. These days the net seems too small and the real world is being infiltrated. ” feels it is time to pull out his tracks off the tangled glass fibre network and scratches them into vinyl. ‘Distant Paths Extracts‘ should pave the way for _rohformat towards the vinylmarket. He couldn’t have named it any better due to the common ground the titles share – the always new and sometimes very distant paths his tracks are unswervingly taking.

The first beats of “Part III“ are throwing you directly into space and its darkness. Hypnotic basslines you’ll get lost in and soundscapes having their genesis somewhere no human being has been before – “Part III” definitely is like a journey into a black hole sitting in the globe of glass. Everything that worked out back in the days he composed in a way of creating something unique and fresh; the result is techno – nothing more, nothing less.

Part I” also keeps you at a distance – a track like a coitus – always close to orgasm.in contrast to that “Part V“ really gets the full jerk. While the other two tracks are slightly moderate he now resigns from any etiquette; synths from heaven meet bass from hell.

  • As a tribute to the 75th jubilee release of Superstition and as a limited edition the first collaboration between Humate and Snitzer & Mc Coy, which was released together with The Sound Of Superstition Vol.5 compilation. ‘Oh My Darling I Love You’ feat. the original version and the Heavy Hitter Mix produced with Humate is the association of old friends and the successful meeting of old and new Superstition artists.

‘Oh my Darling I Love You’ became a huge success during summer ’97, unforgettable was the track in Westbams set @ Siegessäule during the Love Parade in Berlin.

  • SUP2086Release info:

“This 12″ was released in spring 98 incl. a coverversion of QUEEN´s We Will Rock You. The main track is concerned to a coverversion from the rock-classic of the famous british formation QUEEN around their frontman Freddy Mercury, who unfortunately died a few years ago.

The two Boston guys Snitzer & Mc Coy use a particular sense of humour and understand this remake unmistakeably as an hommage to the great cult-band QUEEN. The music is a self-assured, respectless fusion of different styles from the electronic sound-spectrum. Inspired from the Coverversion of ‘We Will Rock You’ the track ‘Rock You‘ came to existance shortly behind in two mixes of different styles. While the ‘Electronic Erection Short/Long-Mix‘ is a kind of true Old-School-Electro, the ‘We-Will-Mix‘ is definitely a Club-Smasher.”

  • One more time, Christian Morgensterns label welcomes a new talented producer. This time, it’s Ronny Priest, a Playstation and game-computer musician. Working with its computer only, he shows that it’s not necessary to own a lot of music gear to produce good tracks.

Tracked Romance” (pt1 above all) will remember the old good time of German techno “rave” hits that were both powerful and hypnotising. This 10 minutes longplayer doesn’t need to be mixed: once it’s put on the turntable, the crowd will be captivated by the mental side of this title full of sounds which never stop going up ! This two cuts can be compared to the best tracks of Richard Bartz, Christian Boree or Christian Morgenstern of course… Essential !
