This months mixed bag of 21 tracks starts in the vein of UR003 with Boddika’s “Electron” on Swamp 81, gets beefy with the Solaris Series on Hidden Hawaii, Developer & Surgeon, groovey with Martyn & Mike Slott, another Shed-produced hit on Wax before taking you to the burnt-plastic smell of Morphosis on Aroy Dee’s imprint M>O>S recordings (awesome Carpenter-ish-cinematic-dance-music longplayer there!).
While Addison Groove’s “Work it” already implies to deal with some DJ Funk-alike bounce you get the full booty jerk by Pearson Sound featuring Rod Lee. In between: the new Sandwell District release by Rrose, Sigha on James Ruskin’s Blueprint, the new Martian on Red Planet (whoo-hoo!), Hardfloor feat. ERP, Mike Dehnert’s discovery Roman Lindau and Silent Servants almost hidden track on Developers album “Entrada”. I finally got to play one of those epic journeys by Brendon Moellers alter ego Echologist from ‘Subterranean‘ alongside with Speedy Js tool ‘Shoegaze’ on Electric Deluxe. These two: perfect match – BOMB!
After all, last months fave ‘CLK Recovery’ by Objekt (one of my few vinyl purchases this year), another Sigha track, BiceP’s ‘Washing machine’-sounding freebie ‘Silk’ and last not least Kirk Degiorgio’s take on Martin Buttrich’s ‘Full Clip‘.

So this is where it starts again… The plethora of fresh tunes during the last weeks was quite something. Be it Delsin’s Conforce with his trance-alike ‘Vulcan’, Max Cavallera’s beast ‘Hellboys rising’ or that synth powered Boddika track – there’s no shortage of good electronic dance music in sight. This months archive picks: KiNK’s 303-monster ‘Shockwaves’ and the Advent’s ‘Visualize’.
The downloads at XLR8R were quite a good source this month. And props to Speedy J for keeping up releasing all those tools’n'edits on Electric Deluxe. ‘Vulcan’ + ‘Trails edit’ on top – magic.

I’m about to start Traktorized (the radio show i ran from 2006/2008 on germany’s shouted.fm) as monthly podcast via official.fm. Traktorized was and is about electronic dance music featuring fresh & aged, known & unknown, commercial & non-commercial music as well as using everything N.I.s Traktor software has to offer.
To celebrate the relaunch i’ve got a special warmup session with proper 3-4 decks action, selfmade loops for adding some variation and going a bit beyond the traditional DJ mix.
Enjoy and stay tuned for the june podcast of Traktorized!

I went digging into my collection of tracks and came up with the masterplan to broadcast a series of annual “best of” sets. It started with the year 1992, unfortunately that’s also as far as the story goes. Aired in february 2007 on shouted.fm / mth.electro.
The last Traktorized show titled “Clicks vs Kicks – 1:1″ featuring netaudio tracks from the past up to recent stuff was just released at Zimmer Records.

The Traktorized show on september 11th, 2006 was all about the Ghetto-House sound from Chicago. You know, Relief Records, Dance Mania, Underground Construction… I’ve got a big crush on this raw shit and if i had the choice i’d get burried with my collection of DMs and RRs.
