Italo-Disco definitely had an impact on my taste in music in the early 80s. Stuff like Koto, Laserdance, Giorgio Moroder on the radio was always a good reason to terrorize my parents turning the volume knob on my ghettoblaster to the max. Enjoy this ride on the Interstellar Disco Express to Station 1!

I went digging into my collection of tracks and came up with the masterplan to broadcast a series of annual “best of” sets. It started with the year 1992, unfortunately that’s also as far as the story goes. Aired in february 2007 on shouted.fm / mth.electro.
This set was recorded the 10th issue of TJE’s “Jackin’ Planets” radioshow on mth.electro@shouted.fm broadcasted in August ’06.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Ever since i recorded that other familar set i wanted to come up with a second part. This is what i came up with.
PS: if you prefer, there’s also a cover artwork for iTunes or whatever.
“Finally there’s something I can play for people and say ‘this is why I like techno.’” – Kent Williams aka Chaircrusher
It was one of the first sets that i recorded digitally back in ’98 or something (mixed with turntables), hence the rather mediocre 128kbps quality (lost the .wav meanwhile). I’d like to thank Ryan for hosting it for such a long time. And everybody sending mails or booking me after discovering this mix.
PS: if you prefer, there’s also a cover artwork for iTunes or whatever.
