2009 was the year in which i discovered the DJ set. Quite seriously – until then i was usually listening to either music albums or my own mixes cause most sets didn’t really do it for me. Since this changed a lot last year, here are my ten favourite sets from ‘09 (in no particular order). (more…)
New mix: tracks for dark days
Meant to be a followup for “music for grey days” it turned out to be less dubby and more detroit-ish but still fitting the overall feeling of the season. Expect tracks by Shed, Jeroen, Rob Hood, Function, Horizontal Ground, Peter van Hoesen, Lory D, Ben Klock … and the usual fx trickery.

I’ve been a horrible blogger lately (eventho i never really wanted to be one). Just didn’t have too much time for music production – hence the lack of gear news to the right. Anyway, here’s my last and very playful 3 decks excursion into minimal to dubby techno sounds for 2008 with lots of new and hot tracks and some goodies from earlier this year… Get that set!

Nothing beats a good mix. You can discover new tracks or rediscover old ones, explore stuff you already knew from a different point of view. Interstellar Disco Express – Station 1
Italo-Disco definitely had an impact on my taste in music in the early 80s. Stuff like Koto, Laserdance, Giorgio Moroder on the radio was always a good reason to terrorize my parents turning the volume knob on my ghettoblaster to the max.
