Delsin’s talented Kaaskopp Delta Funktionen recently played the warm-up for Jeff Mills at Doornroosje in Nijmegen and boy, that’s a trip. Deep, dark, minimal, dubby, dusty – i can just strongly recommend this 3 hours set that is now being published by the guys from mnml ssgs.

Onmutu Mechanicks is a project of Arne Weinberg, moving on the (dare saying ‘even’) deeper side of things. The album titled “Nocturne” is released on danish dubtechno institution Echocord. 9 tracks between ambient and techno – good stuff.
Here you go with three, slower melodic Detroit Techno tracks released on Delsins mothership by the newest addition to Delsins artist roster.

And the first of the “Setup” series by Delta Funktionen reminds a bit of those earlier Ben Klock tunes.

Both are available as 12″ vinyl, mp3 and wav from Delsin Records directly or your trusted vinyl dealer. Limited editions are available as well – hush hush!

Meant to be a followup for “music for grey days” it turned out to be less dubby and more detroit-ish but still fitting the overall feeling of the season. Expect tracks by Shed, Jeroen, Rob Hood, Function, Horizontal Ground, Peter van Hoesen, Lory D, Ben Klock … and the usual fx trickery.

The creation of chords and stabs remains one of the most frequently asked questions on music production forums. Specificly about those floating-around-your-head chords as heard in nowadays dubstep, dubtechno and related genres. The building blocks are actually quite basic stuff, nevertheless many people think way too complex. Let’s have a look. » read on!

Here’s my easteregg for you: a pack of .wav samples for your inspiration. The pack contains 60 chords/stabs and loops between ~110 and ~130 bpm. Most can roughly be classified as minimal, detroit, dubtechno orientated material. You’re invited to cut/slice/mash/torture/mix/whatever and use them for your own tracks.
