The Burden brothers aka Octave One start their ‘revisited series‘ with remixes of their classics ‘Dema’ and ‘Meridian’. The remixes so far are yet only available as vinyl 12″. I’ll update this entry with a digital release as soon as available.
You can grab your copy from Hardwax, Clone, Wordandsound and many more…
Sorry – can’t offer previews of the remixes yet without ugly deeplinks. In case you haven’t heard the originals, here we go.

Here you go with three, slower melodic Detroit Techno tracks released on Delsins mothership by the newest addition to Delsins artist roster.

And the first of the “Setup” series by Delta Funktionen reminds a bit of those earlier Ben Klock tunes.

Both are available as 12″ vinyl, mp3 and wav from Delsin Records directly or your trusted vinyl dealer. Limited editions are available as well – hush hush!

Meant to be a followup for “music for grey days” it turned out to be less dubby and more detroit-ish but still fitting the overall feeling of the season. Expect tracks by Shed, Jeroen, Rob Hood, Function, Horizontal Ground, Peter van Hoesen, Lory D, Ben Klock … and the usual fx trickery.

I recently stumbled upon an old crate with old mixtapes (again). So here’s one of those jumping in first. Hiss, saturation and nostalgic sound included. Stuffed with goodies from Dance Mania, Soma, Superstition, Grow!, Cheap, Relief Records, Pure Plastic… » read on!
Being recently asked about my favourite tracks i soon had to face the fact that there’s too much stuff i adore. So i came up with the idea of nailing down 20 tracks that i still play and fall in a certain category. Here’s the one for sheer beauty.

Oh happy day. If your copy of UR-25 is as aged as mine or you never had the chance of picking up one, Hardwax has some left of those that were re-issued lately.

PS: UR-029 and some more from the vault are still available as well.

One of the main reasons that the sun still shines down on Hamburg now and then may be Ronny Pries and his music. Ronny founded the netlabel _rohformat almost 8 years ago and spread his vision of good techno music even into the farest regions of the internet. These days the net seems too small and the real world is being infiltrated. ” feels it is time to pull out his tracks off the tangled glass fibre network and scratches them into vinyl. ‘Distant Paths Extracts‘ should pave the way for _rohformat towards the vinylmarket. He couldn’t have named it any better due to the common ground the titles share – the always new and sometimes very distant paths his tracks are unswervingly taking.
The first beats of “Part III“ are throwing you directly into space and its darkness. Hypnotic basslines you’ll get lost in and soundscapes having their genesis somewhere no human being has been before – “Part III” definitely is like a journey into a black hole sitting in the globe of glass. Everything that worked out back in the days he composed in a way of creating something unique and fresh; the result is techno – nothing more, nothing less.
“Part I” also keeps you at a distance – a track like a coitus – always close to orgasm.in contrast to that “Part V“ really gets the full jerk. While the other two tracks are slightly moderate he now resigns from any etiquette; synths from heaven meet bass from hell.

If i reckon correctly this one’s one of the first sets i recorded with N.I. Traktor and a midi controller setup. This mix goes under “Detroit Techno” i guess.
