Next in the ‘demos for technoheads‘ series is this reminiscence to the good old X-Mix videos. ‘Ion Traxx 2004′ comes as 5 tracks mix with corresponding visuals and captures the spirit of i.e. ‘Destination Planet Dream’. If you’re interested in watching the realtime version, grab it here (Mac and Linux versions are also available)

For those of you who always wonder what this demoscene fuzz is all about i’m starting the series “demos for technoheads”. If you’re into techno and/or electronic music in general and appealed by visual artsy things, you most probably don’t have to have any kind of demoscene background to enjoy these videos.
Technically, they’re all computer-generated in realtime and available as executable files (mostly for PCs). And usually the music would be tailormade for the production. In this case, there’s a VJ team behind the show so they also went for a short DJ mix to accompany the visuals.
You can grab this demo titled “Medium” by Einklang.net from Pouet.net

The guys from “Quite” are known for their very moody and ambient-ish productions. This time they managed to get Brothomstates/Orange to make a soundtrack. The result just blew me away. Mind you, this thing comes from a 3.9kb Windows .executable file.
It clearly deserved the first place at this years Chaos Construction demoparty. You can get a higher quality video from capped.tv and download the beta version of cdak from Pouet.net
The fourth iteration of our Werkzeug demotool casts first shadows into the public. Code and idea by Chaos, music by paniq, additional wz4 action by fiver2, assisting code by ryg and kb.

Finally, a HD video of our 180kb demo “fr-041:debris” is available on Youtube for your pleasure. For the non-demoscene enthusiasts amongst you, this video is generated by a pc executable at the size of a 1024 x 768px photo.
See yourself.

This easters’ Breakpoint demoparty needs financial support in order to make it happen! In short terms, a major sponsor jumped off the bandwagon and left a rather huge hole in the moneybag. There are several ways of supporting the scene’s major event, you can find out more about it on the official website.

There’s one production i didn’t put in the other post because it needs some special attention. It’s a 4k that raised the bar for synth programming in a nutshell to an entirely new level. I’m talking about » read on!
Yes, i was a little bit lazy last week, sorry folks. Here are some eyecandys from last months NVision’08 demoparty. No idea what the hell i’m talking about? Don’t run away, i’ll tell you and promise that this stuff is worthwhile. » read on!
Is it me or does time run as fast these days? I just finished this website and had 2 weeks off from everything but one week of work and it feels like months ago already. Yeah, it’s probably me – nevermind. I’m currently having a few problems with WordPress’ image thumbnail generation, trying to get rid of those (it doesn’t generate any, never did for me). To get around tabledancing in order to entertain you, here are some links that probably do better! » read on!

I’m closing a rather unhappy production diary for 2007 with the music for the PC demo ‘Ferner’ by Still. This time i finished the tune before seeing anything from the demo and i’m more than happy that it ranked first place at TUM’07 demo competition. » read on!
I’m finally back and halfway alive after surviving this easters’ Breakpoint’07. It’s been my first demoparty in 4 years and most probably wouldn’t have been there without Fiver2 asking me to make the soundtrack for his latest production. After 2 weeks of nightshifts and 2 ‘wasted’ days at the BP’07 i canned the party version of fr-041:debris. soundtrack.

When Fiver2 asked me to make the music for his next 64kb intro i knew it’ll be quite some work to do. I had to work with Logic Audio again to score the music, back then our intro synth V2 wasn’t available as VST yet. I needed quite some tries until i came up with the prototype of the track which Fiver2 agreed to, last not least it was really finished just in time to enter the compo (as usual). I also remember Chaos having severe issues to get everything running on the compo machine, luckily he did. Last not least it became 1st in the 64k compo *phew* and was lateron the first demoscene production to be ever shown at the Siggraph ’03.
