A free compressor from Audio Damage

Oh happy day for all compression freaks out there. Audio Damage is generous and releases their Rough Rider compressor for low. The overall concept is aimed at making a modern compressor with balls for people that trust their ears more than their eyes. It looks damn fine anyway!Rough Rider does a good job at pretty much everything from single instruments to sequences, drumloops and the likes. Its tuned to have quite stable envelopes even at very rough settings and even fastest attack times which is still not seen too often. It also seems to keep a reasonable balance throughout the spectrum without sounding muddy or undefined at any certain point.

Here’s an example of some familar 808 pattern recorded dry and then getting more and more exaggerated.
