Today at 18:00 gmt webradio special “Technologic stories” will start broadcasting with 36 DJs from all over the world. Terje Sorgjerd spent some time outside near Russia to capture one of the biggest “aurora borealis shows” nature had to offer for a while. Pretty amazing images, back then the phenomenon inspired me with the first rktic lp ‘northern lights’ on Thinner.

There whereabouts of this movie about my beloved Hamburg remain a bit uncertain. It was filmed on 16mm reel around 1971, probably for promotional purposes and recently aquired by Vimeo user Friedemann Wachsmuth who did a great job of making a digital copy. Thanks a lot for that!

After struggling with my current Intel Core2duo E6600 based audio PC for 5 years i’m currently looking into updating CPU, mainboard and RAM. So far, my first choice is Intels new Sandy Bridge i7 2600 CPU, 8 gb RAM and, errr, some mainboard (obviously). Everytime i’ve been updating my PC hardware in the past, the mainboard question wasn’t easy to answer. You might think it should be easy to find a good mainboard, but given the trouble i’ve with my ASUS P5B-E deluxe carrying the E6600 one shouldn’t consider this being such a no-brainer… » read on!

As you might have noticed the site is currently looking odd in some places. After a month with tumblr and related learnings i’ve got some ideas for improving my site. And since i just had some stupid trouble with setting up a good and solid local installation i decided to do the work live. For your entertainment

Hm yeah, i’m recently checking out tumblr and so far i’m very impressed by its ease of use and focus productivity. Not yet sure where this is heading to but i currently think about moving away from a self hosted WordPress installation for various reasons.
Quite moronic to spend much time and efforts into refurbishing the layout again but after all i’m (as usual) not satisfied at all. In addition to that i really dig how tumblr treats all different kinds of content. Last not least there is this thing called JMStV which might kick off in 2011 and cause trouble for lots of bloggers – if the german government sticks to their current, outrageous plans.
