  • Octave One – Dema revisited

The Burden brothers aka Octave One start their ‘revisited series‘ with remixes of their classics ‘Dema’ and ‘Meridian’. The remixes so far are yet only available as vinyl 12″. I’ll update this entry with a digital release as soon as available.

You can grab your copy from Hardwax, Clone, Wordandsound and many more…

Sorry – can’t offer previews of the remixes yet without ugly deeplinks. In case you haven’t heard the originals, here we go.

    Dema (originalmix)

    Meridian (originalmix)

Ok ok, so this is what happened and why the many comments on this. Last night while I was enjoying your 92′ Traktor set I had a bit of that fine 12 years old Balvenie Doublewood friends got me for bday not so long ago. Naturally that lead to not paying attention and well, don’t blame me, the 92′ set was just too engulfing to see the date of above post, being 2010!! Silly me, yes, silly me! So naturally at that time the 12″ were slowly coming out and then in Dec 2011 this CD followed, http://www.discogs.com/Octave-One-Revisited-Here-There-And-Beyond/release/3321427 and that was what I have here, ready to enjoy those today.. Laters..

First of all, dear Ronny, with this comment you have my personal and precious email address where you can reach me personally, so please keep it like that. That being said, I would love to hear from you at some point, since, we have been in touch on Twitter occasionally, and, I have enjoyed those conversations quite a bit so far! Especially that seminal classics set from 92, that was surly a good year and you made a great homage to it with your Traktor set! Thank you again!

So now back to business with this post. I have recently gotten my hands on the “Octave One – Revisited : Here, There And Beyond” CD, though it is still packed tightly, coming straight from Japan, sitting here quietly next to me, waiting to be unpacked and explored. Tell me is this post about this 430 West Records release or are you talking about something else here? For you this question might sound quite silly but for me it is just a question, that indeed I fear to ask in such public, nevertheless I have done so. I hope you don’t diss me for this..

Again, much respect, I guess questions are just questions, thinking about what my kindergarten and high-school teacher used to tell me “…there are no stupid questions…” while thinking “…you silly person how could you even dare ask such a silly question”.. any ways, I think with this lengthy comment you do get my point. I hope I am not embarrassing myself here..

      All the best, speak soon,
      TLX

p.s.: what is your email address, or please do get in touch privately, would love to communicate with you in more than 140 characters if your time permits it.. again, the email provided in this comment will reach me and only me 100%, thanks… and thanks again for that seminal set from 92!! loved dancing to it tonight, only 10 years later but still got my old bones rocking and my old skin sweating like I was 16 again… ->thx!

    It's your turn!
