What a sad day and strange year for electronic music. First the acclaimed netlabel Othello, renown for awesome intergalactic-italo-disco-electronics passed away earlier this year and now i have to learn that its mothership, the Cybernetic Broadcasting System shuts down. Lack of listeners! Do you believe that? Today sucks.
Although not being active at the forums, CBS was one of the internet radio stations of trust for me. Always there to cheer you up, anytime, anyday. No more? Oh my! Ferenc (the guy behind CBS) sums up his decision about this step in this thread at the CBS forums. As said above, there’s another loss running in the same veins of this blessed kind of electronic music, the netlabel Othello. Launched by Karl Lihagen (whom you may remember from his _rohformat releases) and Johan Norling in 2002, they released lots of dope tunes under several monikers.
2 projects with the same approach in music started in the same year – and also end in the same? Did anyone say conspiracy? They’ll both be missed for sure. See you in eternity!

It's your turn!
